Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) based on project specifications, drawings and other relevant documents.
- Update and revise BOQs as project requirements evolve.
- Draft, review and negotiate contracts ensuring alignment with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the contract lifecycle, from initiation to closure, and oversee compliance with contract terms and conditions.
- Identify and assess potential risks associated with contracts and propose strategies to mitigate those risks.
- Collaborate with legal team to ensure contracts align with legal requirements and industry standards.
- Provide accurate cost estimates for construction projects based on BOQs and market rates.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and comprehensive BOQs.
- Negotiate contract terms and conditions to achieve favorable outcomes while maintaining positive relationship with contractors, vendors and partners.
- Monitor and evaluate contractor and vendor performance to identify and address potential issues.
- Resolve contractual disputes and disagreements in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of BOQs, contracts and related documents.
- Generate regular reports to project cost status, contract compliance and key performance indicators.
Academic Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering or a related field.
Skills/Job Specification:
- Proven experience of at least 10 years in preparing Bills of Quantities and managing contracts in the construction of Hotel Projects.
- Thorough understanding of construction processes, cost estimation and contract management principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in construction project management software.
