Business Head

Experience: Sales and Marketing of FMCG products inside and outside India.

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Finance or above.

Work Location: Kathmandu, Nepal

Role Time: Full Time

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Functional Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and implement the overall strategic plan for the Agro business division.
    • Identify market trends, opportunities, and challenges to drive the Business’s growth.
    • Provide strategic guidance and leadership to ensure the achievement of business objectives.
  2. Operations Management:
    • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Agro business, including farming, production, Sourcing, Distribution and Sales.
    • Implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and optimize resource utilization.
    • Aim for operational efficiencies in order to achieve projected bottom-line.
  3. Sales & Market Development:
    • Identify and evaluate new markets for products.
    • Lead efforts to expand the distribution network and increase market penetration.
    • Achieve the Sales AOP established for FY 80-81 taking in consideration the topline.
  4. Product Development:
    • Collaborate with the research and development team to introduce new agri products or improve existing ones.
    • Ensure product quality and compliance with industry standards.
  5. Financial Management:
    • Develop and manage budgets for the Agro business division.
    • Monitor financial performance, analyze financial reports, and implement strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  6. Supply Chain Management:
    • Oversee the entire supply chain, from sourcing raw materials to delivering products to customers on time.
    • Effectively manage warehouse operations and ensure minimum damage, wastage and pilferage.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, farmers, and other stakeholders.
    • Promote cost effectiveness in entire supply chain for positively impacting the bottom-line.
  7. Team Leadership:
    • Build and lead a high-performing team within the agro business division.
    • Provide mentorship and support to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  8. Sustainability Stewardship & Corporate Governance:
    • Stay informed about and adhere to regulations related to agricultural practices and environmental impact.
    • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and corporate governance standards.
    • Uphold ethical business practices and promote a culture of integrity.
  9. Risk Management:
    • Assess and manage risks associated with agro-business operations.
    • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  10. Communication:
    • Effectively communicate the company’s strategy, goals, and performance to internal and external audiences.
