Export Manager

Location: Delhi, India

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, International Trade, or related fields

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in export sales or international trade management, particularly in the FMCG sector.

Roles and Responsibilities:       

  1. Sales Strategy & Channel Development:
  • Develop and execute a robust general trade sales strategy tailored to the Indian FMCG landscape, focusing on organic and ethical product positioning.
  • Identify, onboard, and manage distribution partners, wholesalers, and retailers across multiple geographic regions in India.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing structures to ensure competitive positioning and favorable margins.
  • Drive penetration in tier 1 and tier 2 cities, expanding the brand’s footprint in high-growth regions.
  1. Payment Terms & Receivables Management:
  • Establish clear payment terms and credit policies for distribution partners and clients.
  • Implement a stringent receivables management process to ensure timely payments and reduce financial exposure.
  • Monitor outstanding payments, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate financial records in coordination with the finance team.
  1. Product Integrity & Shelf-Life Optimization:
  • Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure optimal product handling, minimizing transit-related damage and spoilage.
  • Monitor product shelf life
  • Ensure storage, transportation, and merchandising conditions align with the quality standards of organic FMCG products.
  1. Market Expansion & Product Visibility:
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute campaigns aimed at increasing product awareness and consumer demand in India.
  • Lead product placement initiatives in general trade and modern retail environments to maximize shelf visibility and drive consumer pull.
  • Engage in sales promotions, brand activations, and trade shows to boost product exposure in target markets.
  1. Market Intelligence & Feedback Analysis: 
  • Collect, analyze, and report on market feedback from distributors, retailers, and end consumers to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and opportunities for product improvement.
  • Provide actionable insights to the headquarters on sales performance, market conditions, and recommendations for product adaptation to the Indian consumer base.
